Fujifilm Prescale® Tactile Pressure Indicating Sensor Film
How do you measure pressure across contacting surfaces?
Conventional metrology tools– such as load cells and built-in equipment controls – measure force, but do not capture the pressure magnitude and distribution at the point of contact.
Who developed Prescale®?
Fujifilm developed Prescale® to reveal pressure between any two contacting surfaces. This thin flexible film conforms to both straight and curved surfaces and is very easy to use. Simply place Prescale® between two surfaces and apply force. Instantaneously, a high resolution pressure map (profile) is produced. Different gradations of color are calibrated to different amounts of pressure in PSI or kg/cm². Pressure distribution is seen at a glance and can be visually inspected. For great detail, the film can be analyzed through imaging products.
Application specialists at Sensor Products Inc. have worked with thousands of companies that have used this cost-effective pressure film over the past 20 years. Our staff advises on pressure ranges for applications as well as complementary products and services designed by Sensor Products.
Do you have a project you are working on?
If you want to ensure your platens and rollers are contacting properly and your products are free of pressure variations that lead to defects you'll want more information on our film.
